Hi folks,

Is there anyway to stop Windows 7 from scanning meta data from images and video?

It's really NO SWEARING annoying that if you open a directory with a lot of pictures or videos it insists on trying to scan everyone for dimensions etc as it really slows it down.

Surely this can be disabled?

Any thoughts?

It only does it once, once it is indexed it won't bother again unless the file's attributes change.

Drive indexing makes searching faster, just leave it be.
