just on the off chance anyone has had any experience of this, we have a storage heater in the flat which heats up over night while the electric is cheap and keeps the place warm through the day.
Came down this morning to the room being very warm and a smell of burning. The storage heater was red hot and has left 'soot' like marks on the wall behind. We have had slight marks before but nothing like this.
I am not sure whether it could be either the thermostat thats packed in or maybe a build up of fluff and muck inside it.
Has anyone else had anything like this? Its a Dimplex CXL24N.
