Storage Optimisation?

What/how do you optimise your storage? Be it SAN or 'online' storage?

Stumbled across these guys:

Certainly seems like a interesting idea, but i've heard people have worries about data corruption with this sort of method?

I think it may be a little bit ahead of its time, but could possibly be very useful for sites like flickr and imagebucket etc, anything hosting lots of media stuff.

Enterprise level i'm not sure many will want to take the risk just yet..
