Hi.

Building a £950ish gaming pc for a mate.

Im looking into storage options for him.

Option 1
1TB M.2 NVME
£120

Option 2
500GB M.2 NVME
1TB SSD
£128

Option 3
250GB M.2 NVME
1TB SSD
£112

What is the best option to go for?

From what ive seen for gaming there is no big difference from SSD and NVME.

Would Option 3 be best?
Or should I ditch NVME altogether and jst get 1TB and 250GB SSD?

Cheers

Also just noticed the WD Blue SNN 550 is down to £86..

Since I only have 1 M.2 slot is there a downside to using a 1TB M.2 for storage gaming and a 250GB SSD for windows?

Or just use that 1TB M.2 NVME for everything and buy additonal SSD at later date if needed.

It really doesnt matter having n separate drive for windows and programmes has it's advantage but you could always partition the drive.

Grab the sn 550

Thanks.

Grabbed the SN550 and the silver M.2 heatsink for cosmetics.

I told him 1TB would be enough but if he wants additonal storage in future just get another 500GB or 1TB SSD.

Cheers
