Store/ update issues with SP3

Since updating I have had a few problems on my SP3.

The store will not open, it'll sit then get a message saying the server has "bad days".

Also, just trying for Windows Updates, and its just the little dots floating about, whilst my PC is seeing updates ready to go no problem.

Could their be any reasons for this?

Yes, you updated. It can range from going flawlessly to causeing all sorts of random issues. The store not opening is actually a pretty common one.

Backup your stuff and do a Reset PC to turn it into a clean 10 install and all will be fixed.

Don't feel tahts an option with the sheer amount of faffing about of software I would have to install again.

Try the 'wsreset' command, you can just type that into the run box and it should start. It clears the store cache, might fix the issue you're having.

Okay, so I got fed up and did the restore though keeping files, it did it, and wouldn't boot and got the couldn't detect boot drive error blue screen, its reset a few times then it said it revered before trying the wipe.

Now everything is working, Store is opening and currently downloading updates.
