I was wondering whether there is a way to set up and store an overclocked bios so that i have the option to switch between default to OC?.

My reason for asking is when i last done a fresh install i had to set my bios to default, not sure why, but it was pretty annoying. Is this only a feature available on specific motherboards or am i am able to save a setup to a memory stick?.

Depending on what motherboard you have got you can save profiles.

What board are you using?

Ah sorry guys its a Gigabyte GA-880GM-USB3.

So you can't save the bits settings on a flash drive at all Im guessing?

Some boards can, not sure if yours can though, one thing to remember, if you do save a profile to a profile and you update the BIOS you will loose the saved data.

Cool, i think i get ya :)

I'll have a play around tomorrow. But when i go into the bios i should be looking to save a new profile (if my board has this option) however if i update the bios I'll loose the profile and only have the default. Is that right?

Yes :)

When your in the main BIOS screen look towards the bottom of the screen and there should be a option to Save CMOS to BIOS (F11)

So Ive checked out the BIOS this evening and found the option to save CMOS to BIOS so thanks for the help guys, appreciate it :)
