Okay, so I'm trying a bunch of ground coffee at the moment and as it has to be stored in a sealed container I was wondering what everyone uses. I've been using sealed Tupperware boxes. However they are fairly bulky and a bit of a nightmare in general.

I was in a similar situation to you as regards coffee beans. General internet consensus is to keep ground coffee or beans in an airtight container in a dark place. :)

I use a Kilner jar and keep it in the fridge, despite this forum's hate for chilling it. Don't care what they say, it definitely keeps fresher when cold :D

Please don't take up chilling it.

That said, if you're keeping ground coffee rather than beans it's going to lose a lot of freshness very quickly so how you store it matters somewhat less.

+1. Been doing this for years and I can definitely tell the difference between stored in the jar out of fridge vs in the fridge.

You will hate me then. I have been storing mine in the freezer, I just don't get through it quickly enough. As stated it's much better than when I stored it in a sealed jar.
