Hi,

I have a few hard drives laying around on my desk which have either recently being removed from PC's or are used for backups via an external dock on my case.

What is the best way of storing these?

You can get proper cases for storing them in made from harder plastic. There's also a larger 'multi drive' option but that's quite expensive. Not sure if ocuk do them or not though.

Personally as most of my drives came in the plastic popper type casing I just use that :)

I was'nt too sure on the plastic hard cases but have ordered a few to test first.

Usually I have a stash of the clear plastic cases but they seem to of vanished.

thanks for the reply.

I have one stored in a safe, that's irrelevant here, a box would suffice, but I keep it with one of those moisture absorbing packets to ensure it stays dry.

Probably overkill, but it's my onsite secondary backup HDD that gets plugged in weekly to mirror my NAS.
