Storing unused film

A quick question, I hope. I bought way too much film for a wedding I shot. I have no idea when I'll next get around to using a film camera. So, what is the best way to store unused 35mm rolls and how long can they last?

My mum has always stored film in the fridge and it's kept for a long time so I'm assuming that does work.

Excellent. They've been in the fridge in the original plastic containers for more than a year now. I wonder what kind of shelf life they'll have that way.

Fridge or freezer, just make sure you let them warm up before you use them.

store them in the fridge and use them before the use by date. the date on the box is the best before for a film kept under good conditions, if you store it somewhere warm you need to use it sooner.
