For those who swap tyres, how do you store the spare set?
I am thinking just tyres, rather than on wheels as well.

Thanks
Andrew

Yes but it's amazing what other carp you suddenly find to store in there, before you know it you can't get in the door. :D
Also useful for the lawnmower instead of having to clean it and put it under the stairs cupboard. :-o

Well tax is £74.25 for 6 months (who needs it in the summer?) and it can be SORN'd..
As for MOT, well no advisories on last MOT so probs fine ;)

Plus you can put your lawnmower in it over the summer so it's multifunctional. Hell, you could even attach the lawnmower to the back and drive it around the lawn to save your legs :D

Thanks.
They are in a shed at present but just wanted to check that was OK.
I have stacked them though which I wasn't sure about.

I may get an extra set of wheels at some stage but at the moment I have just swapped tyres. Cost being a factor!

Maybe at a first glance but a set of 4 wheels off ebay can't be that much unless you have some ridiculously large size.

Swapping ties twice a year won't be particularly cheap either, I reckon they are well worth the investment.

The car came with 18 inch wheels...
I know I could have gone down to 17 inch for the winter ones but the cost for wheels and tyres was still quite high, compared to just new tyres.

I stacked them ontop of each other with wheels still attached in my dads shed, saved space in mine then :D

No use having winter tyres, it snowing and then finding you can't get the car to the garage to have the tyres changed over ;)

We keep around a dozen wheels and tyres stacked as one tower in the garage :p

Took me 20 mins to change all 4 wheels.
