So I eventually got round to seeing this. If you enjoyed the trailer above you would find at least parts of it very amusing. The film sagged in a couple of ways:
- there was a lot of emphasis on how cute babies are. If, like me, you cannot stand people talking about their babies (narcissistic ass I know!) then this may grate on you.
- there was, oddly, a lot of humour seemingly based on animals talking in non-western accents. It didn't bother me as such, it just wasn't funny. Surprised that got green lighted in today's climate though.
- they knew they were onto gold with the wolf pack joke so it was a bit overused. Still amusing, mind.
Criticisms aside, the premises was original and fun, and there was a lot of self aware humour of how ridiculous the whole thing was. Worth a punt if you like the trailer!
