Ok, so anyone here using Microsoft StorSimple?

We are getting a unit delivered for a POC soon, so just wondering if anyone else is using it.

It sounds like a great product, the price tag doesn't.

I would like to be working in a place where we could consider storage with a $100,000 list price.

Its a rip-off if you ask me, but if it has cloud in the name, then everyone laps it up.

$100,000 for something that you have to chuck out after 3 years due to the support expiring would need to be magical during that 3 year period for me to consider it.

I can see Microsoft adding something like this to their server OS in the not too distant future, though. Hopefully. You can sort of already do it yourself at the block storage level with the AWS Storage Gateway in the caching mode, though obviously without the same sort of support.
