Straightforward editing software

Hi guys,

Going into GW2, I'm looking at creating more and more videos, of PVE, PVP and WvW.

As you can see from my current attempts

I'm leaving most of it unedited, using Windows Live Movie maker.

I'd like something simple to use and get the hang of but with the ability to do some nice tweaks to any videos, whether that be just adding transitions, to stripping mumble sound, but not the in-game sound.

What would people recommend? (looking for anything from £0 - 75~)

Sony Vegas is usually a popular choice for editing game play footage. Pro version is obviously the best but significantly more expensive. The 'Movie Studio' version (around £40) should suffice for your needs if you only going to be doing basic editing.

Thanks for the feedback.

Will that let me strip certain elements of the audio. Fraps picks up game sound and mumble chat and in certain cases I only want one or the other.

Also what's the difference between:

Sony Vegas Movie Studio HD Platinum 11 (PC)

and

Sony Vegas Movie Studio HD Platinum Production Suite 11 (PC)

The production suite one seems to be cheaper.

There appear to be trials so you can try it out first.

As for the audio it will depend if fraps mixes them all into one output channel. If it does then there's no software that will do it unless you want to try and mask over it somehow which isn't recommended.
