Can someone explain this one:

http://www.samsung.com/uk/products/television/tftlcd/le26r71bxxeu.asp?page=Specifications

The LE19R71B on the left has a 1440x900 resolution and yet is not HD compliant. However the LE23R71B and LE32R71B at a lesser 1366x768 resolution are. The LE19R71B also comes with a HDMI input making it even weirder!
I'm after a small LCD TV for the bedroom and thought I might as well go HD if the price was right. You can get the LE19R71B for <£250 and I thought I was on to a winner, bu obviously not.

Can anyone explain?

It looks like it doesn't have an HDMI port, it has DVI - if the DVI port doesn't support HDCP then it's not HD ready.

-DVI means it has HDMI, but no DVI port.
If you look at other websites it states that it has an HDMI port, but no DVI
The other two screens have both inputs.

Going by its specs on other sites I think I'm right. - means it doesn't have the feature, the other sets have 1 each DVI and HDMI whereas this one has a dash for no HDMI but the brackets indicate it does have DVI. That DVI is obviously non-HDCP, suprising because my 19" Samsung 940MW does have HDCP and that same resolution.

because it is a repackaged PC monitor with minimal effort put in.

All lcd's are ;)

But seriously yes that one is a very poor effort. I looked at one for the bedroom. It's 16:10 and really suffers with the extra res on SD tv + dvd. Shame really as it is cheap and looks nice.
