Strange 3d Mark 06 score's

So i finally got my second 8800GTS card and set up sli on my sytem all went according to plan
So just for fun i thought id see what score's i would get running 3dmark06 on a single card and then on the sli'd cards
the scores i got are strange
for a single card i got 7926
For SLi i got 8419
now i know an sli system gives better score's i wasnt expecting double but thought with the single card score id get around 10000-11000 points

both cards are currently OC to 615/900/1548 compared to the 500/800/1188 they ship with.
the only thing i can think of is my 4400+ @2.2Ghz is causing a major bottleneck
Any suggestions that i may have missed or is it my CPU as i suggested

using Windows Vista 32bit
Nvidia Drivers 178.24

Yea its your processor holding your score back.

Yeah looks CPU limited - tho the difference in actually gaming will be less noticeable (compared to a system with say a 3gig core 2) as 3D Marks 06 is very CPU dependant.

My one GTS scored like 14000 with a E8500 @ 4.4Ghz. Run vantage instead cus 06 is really CPU orientated.
