Strange 6990 fan problem

I have played with many Radeon graphic cards but never seen something like this.

when i use the ccc to set the fan speed at 100%~it jumps to 100% immediately. when I disable the fan speed control, it didnt go back to normal immediately. it took almost 1 minute for the fan to go back to 30%.

forgive my bad english.
 
Try it again but this time disable the manual fan control before you disable overdrive. It could be that it took a little longer because you still had manual fan enabled in overdrive.
