Strange AA issue on CoD4

When I specify 16Q AA in the nVidia control panel (8800GT), CoD4 defaults to zero AA and it looks poor. When I select application controlled, it looks much better but is only 4x AA. Does this mean it's not possible to go higher than 4x AA in CoD4? It seems strange that if it couldn't handle what the nVidia CP was telling it to use, it would default to nothing rather than 4x - doesn't it?

Is that when you set it to "Enhance" or are you "Forcing" the 16Q AA mode?

I think there is a problem with AA in some of the latest Forceware betas. Try using the global profile and see if it works,

Forcing through NV control panel. I'm now using global setting (application preferance) and it looks great. Oh well, guess it just doesn't allow 16x.
