Strange audio issues with new soundbar

A couple of weeks ago I purchased a Q Acoustics M4 soundbar and have been really enjoying using it, however I'm experiencing some sound issues with certain files. I'm using Plex Media Server and any video that has AC3 audio (which is a lot) refuses to play audio. I know that the audio track on the files work fine because I have played them through the PC where they are stored and they worked fine on Plex before I hooked up the sound bar. I also tried watching a few TV shows on iplayer and the same thing happened, no audio at all.

Is it simply a case that the soundbar doesn't support AC3 audio? If so, is there a codec or converter that would allow me to watch the files with audio? It's very frustrating not being able to use iplayer or play things properly through Plex.

Hmm I did have a look in the settings but I couldn't see anything, I'll take another look.

Thanks for the help, I think I may have sorted it. I delved into the sound settings on my TV and changed the audio output from Dolby Digital to PCM and it has fixed it.

I have. Using the bluetooth is super easy and the sound quality is very good. It sounds best with higher bitrate music (flac sounds very good), but even Spotify sounds pretty decent.
