My description of this may be a bit vague, but if someone's had a similar problem it may fit.
Basically, when running a program such as a game (only game I play is Trackmania), after about 5/10 minutes my audio goes all chopping and bitty (like noise) and gradually gets worse and worse until winamp literally stops playing because it's going so slow. Weird thing is that it effects all audio, but if the audio is from a video then the video plays fine (which seems to rule out it being a RAM\CPU issue?). I've uninstalled and reinstalled the latest audio drivers (AC'97) and can't really think of what else it can be. It's only started happening recently (within the past week).
Audio onboard (Asus A8N-E), CPU AMD X2 3800, RAM Corsair 3500LL
