Strange beeping coming from PC

I have been mildly overclocking my CPU from 2333MHz to 2415MHz. I did this by increasing the 'Rated FSB' from 1333MHz to 1380MHz in 10MHz increments (increasing by 10MHz then restarting computer).

When the 'Rated FSB' was at 1370MHz, my computer started up normally without any unusual noise. However, when I increased it further to 1380MHz my computer started up normally again, but a strange beeping noise kept coming from inside the PC case. It lasted for 5-10 minutes before stopping.

My CPU temperature has gone no higher than 52'C during this overclocking.

Does anyone have any sort of explanation for why this is happening?

When the PC was beeping did it still perform normally? i.e. boot into windows without problems?

Or is it beeping with a black screen?

The beeps were continuous and did roughly 15 beeps every 10 seconds (roughly 1.5Hz), and go on for roughly 6 minutes 40 seconds (400 seconds).

Therefore:
Total # of beeps = Frequency X Time = 1.5 X 400 = Approximately 600 beeps in total.

It boots into Windows normally, and I can still do everything normally (eg: internet) while it is beeping and once it stops.

My graphics card seems to be ok, I can play COD Black Ops on the same settings and FPS as I could before.

EDIT: The beeping has stopped now, I put the settings back to normal and did a 5% 'AI overclock' instead. Now it's at 2.45GHz!

EDIT AGAIN: Now I'm at 2.68GHz (15%)! Just what I wanted. :)
