Hi all
My router has been behaving rather strangely of late. It did the same thing a few weeks ago but then settled down.
Basically it stops performing on Channel 1 and even seems to effect my pc's hardwired network connection. It drops everything of the wifi and if I change it to Channel 13 it works fine.
Now here is the strange part. I would expect this behaviour (or at least some of it) if the lower end of the Channel range was congested. But, using inSSIDer, all the channels are from 6-11 with mine on 13.
I run my Sonos network on Channel 6 and ideally need to keep it 5 channels away from my wifi. Hence why I need to use 1 or a channel at the other end of the range.
Generally it seems to perform ok on Channel 13 but it is more a frustration in the back of my mind as to why it is not working.
Can a router develop problems where it stops working on a particular channel?
