Strange blemishes under glass on samsung TAB

Hi all,

Any ideas as to what this is and if its fixable?

I thought they were scratches at first but the blemishes are under the glass, teh glass is perfectly smooth according to my fingernail test! and ive given it a good wipe. They are only visible on a white screen.

The tablet has not been mistreated as far as I know.

Hard to take a picture of with relections, but they look like little white snow flakes under the glass... they don't look like dead/stuck pixels, and the touch screen works fine?

Could it be down to defects, air pockets or bubbles in the adhesive used on the screen? My old HTC Nexus 9 tablet had them after a while and it seemed like a fairly common issue going by the number of posts about it on XDA and elsewhere.
