Strange BSOD issue - thoughts?

Hello!

My computer has been running fine for ages, but over the past few months it has developed a problem.

When playing a game, it will randomly BSOD and restart itself - the usual. I immediately thought this could be the graphics card, as it's quite old - MSI 4870x2, but I swapped it for my spare and after a few weeks, the same thing started happening.

It was fine at first which makes me wonder what's causing it...

I've memtested the RAM and there are no issues there, and the CPU (i7 920) and motherboard (EX58-UD3R) both appear to be fine. I can't remember what the exact BSOD error is but it pointed to a driver issue, it was a fairly standard message. The entire system is stock.

The only other thing of note is that upon rebooting, my USB wifi dongle doesn't work and I have to unplug it and plug it in again for it to be recognised. Could this point to a motherboard issue or is it random?

Any thoughts/help would be appreciated. Cheers.
