strange buzzing noise from monitor

my monitor is a LGw2042s and since i purchased it has been making a strange elecrical buzzing noise. at first i thought it was my psu but i found out last night its my monitor.

is it common for this noise. this is the first lcd ive had so im not sure.

...Does it go away if you up your brightness to full?

Both my LCD monitors are silent, but they aren't that big, maybe it's different for very large monitors.

my acer g24 and a few others on the forums with that monitor have noticed a hissing / buzzing sound, we thought it was specific to that monitor but maybe not.

I got an Acer G24 too, also makes the buzzing sound.
