Since my car(Golf mkiv 1.8T GTI) has been in the garage for a new clutch pedal and master cylinder due to a common problem on the golfs in which a clip on the pedal breaks and renders it useless. Whenever I change gear now the revs seem to rise around 500rpm before settling to where it is supposed to be. Any ideas what it can be?
