Right, this is likely to be quite a long description of a weird problem (so I won’t judge you if you hit back and look at another thread at this point).

The problem itself has been around for months but its not a major worry so i just ignored it, however, yesterday it seemed to have fixed itself (randomly) only to return when i turned on my pc this morning. I don’t know whether it's software or hardware related so i shoved it here as it’ll get more hits.

There are a couple of symptoms that I’ve noticed, i have a Microsoft mouse and keyboard (wireless laser 5000 if it is of any importance) and the mouse includes a side-button preset to a zoom utility, this creates a small box around the mouse (which is adjustable, more/less zoom and change the size of the box)) the mouse still remains visible in the centre of this box and is supposed to be located where it appears in the box. This however is all what it "should" do, mine doesn’t work like that, when i press the button the screen flashes black and white and the box appears, this box takes up almost the entire (32") screen, it is not adjustable and the mouse pointer is not where it appears to be, when it fixed itself yesterday I had a very small box which i could adjust to my heart’s content and the mouse was where it appeared.

Symptom number 2: i cannot get any of the full screen parts of iTunes to work (neither the album cover slider nor the movie/visualiser screens), again, yesterday evening they worked.

I have now discovered that when i load up CCC and go to the "LCD overdrive" tab these features work correctly, when i open that tab the screen seems to change a fair bit, the "Aero" see through scheme thing is turned off and the CCC window becomes much smaller.

So OCUK (or those of you who bothered to read all that (e-cookies to all)) what do you think? any ideas?

Thanks in advance!

EDIT: i can add screenshots if you like?

Well I'd say sod the zoom button, just ctrl+scoll to zoom in... maybe reinstall the drivers?

As for iTunes I'd uninstall and reinstall it
