Strange drive error when closing down Windows

Just built up a new PC and have been installing all my apps and drivers, etc. I THINK i got this error after installing Zone Alarm but can't be 100% sure. I just know the PC was fine, then it started comming up with this error everytime i switch off or restart:

The drive is not ready for use; it's drive may be open. Please check drive A and make sure a disk is inserted and that the drive door is closed

The REALLY weird thing is i don't even have a floppy drive installed on the machine !!!

Disable the floppy in the bios maybe?

And thats why i love this place......Someone is always able to tell you the blatently obvious when you can't see it for looking elsewwhere !!! That worked perfectly mate, thank you

Holy Thread ressurection Batman!

I have this problem (found it using the search funtion) and have disabled my floppy drive in the BIOS tto no avail. Frsh install of XP, specs as follows:

E6300
Gigabyte DS4
2GB XMS2
X1900XT

(also had the problem installing it on another, unrelated system - using the same disk, but different key, and get this intermittantly there to, so i dont think its a hardware issue...
