Strange Ebay request

I purchased something on eBay for my GF's son for £80 it was listed with £5 p+p

I've just received a message saying he has posted it but it was £11 due to needing insurance and could I send him the difference.

Is he just being a cheeky git , or is it fair of him to ask.

I decided to hold off on sending any payments toward postsge, but today I collected the item from the PO and its not even what he advertised aaaargh. Oh we'll guess he'll be getting it back.

He did pay £11.

I'm going to send it with works parcels and stuff so it wont cost me anything.
