Strange error on QW:ET....

I have downloaded the demo and installed but when I try and play the game I get the following error and the initialisation shuts down: :confused:

ERROR: The current video card / driver combination does not support the necessary features: GL_ARB_occlusion_query

I am using the latest drivers (7.8's I think) but the only reference to this error is in the readme that comes with the demo....but only in reference to nVidia graphics cards and mine is ATi so the workaround doesnt apply!!

Has anyone had this same problem?

Yeah I had the same problem. Am now using 7.9s and all is well.
Eventually, as my XP install was messed up and I couldn't update my gfx drivers amongst other things so formatted :/

I didnt realise the 7.9's were out so I'll give that a try!!

Ye, fire on the 7.9's. I had same problem at start, changed the driver and it works fine.
