I dont no if any-ones experienced this before.
I leave my computer downloading all night and switch it off in the morning before I go to work.
On 3 occasions now when I get home from work and boot up, my internet explorer or any other internet app like msn doesnt work. I have an internet connection still going into my computer but the programs load and just wont seem to find the connection. When I exit them I get a pop-up box saying the App has crashed. Now if I go to system restore I always notice windows has run an update, I dont no how it manages to do this as its set to "check for updates but ask me before they install" setting. If I run a system role back before the update was installed everything is fine and back to normal. I then manually check for updates again install them, re-boot and still everything is fine. Is it the updates? what is my computer doing to itself while I am sleeping at night.

What are you using as your LAN adapter? I've developed a similar problem with my Nvidia LAN controller. See here: http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/showthread.php?t=17744863

Gone back to XP using an old backup and it's working fine again. What I don't understand is Vista was fine till I used windows update. Now even going back to a point BEFORE that update still doesn't work.
