strange firefox problem (re: find)

Hi all, basically i have this problem with firefox whereby after i've pressed ctrl+f for 'find on page', pressing the ' / @ then also brings up search everytime. Meaning i can't put apostrophes in my forums messages etc. I have to completely restart all firefox windows to get the ' key working again. In fact, sometimes even that doesn't work.

Before pressing ctrl+f the apostrophe key works fine....it's only after i try the ctrl+f thing.

Any ideas?
