I'm pretty new to these parts so please bear with me. I love os x but i've got a bit of a problem.
Over the last half hour or so some strange things are going on with my dock and menus and i don't know what the problem is.
I first noticed that when i moved my mouse over the dock the magnification didn't work, even though i haven't changed any options in the dock menu in system preferences.
Also if i select an option on the menu bar and drag my mouse across it doesn't select the next option. Say if i select Safari then move across to File then Edit it will stay selected on Safari.
I have tried restarting the macbook twice and the problem is still the same, i did notice though i didn't get the usual 'dong' sound either time on startup.
I'm just a bit lost because i don't know what to try as i'm a recent switcher from windows.
Can anyone point me in the right direction or tell me how to fix this please?
