I have a weird issue with Google Chrome on my laptop. When I first open Chrome I get very bad typing delay in the search bar for around 20 seconds after this it is ok. This is with the power adapter connected. Weirdly if I start the laptop on just battery power I do not get any delay in chrome at all ?

I have gone through all the power settings but nothing is amiss. I have tried disabling Hardware acceleration on chrome which made no difference.

I cannot work out what is different when starting on battery to with the power adapter connected that would have this affect on Chrome. Everything else runs fine...

anyone have any ideas ?

I'm using Nod32 and have tried disabling it but it made no difference. It's only Chrome everything else is ok. Internet explorer has no issues.

I have had a look at task manager and nothing looks too bad and chrome does not seem to be using a lot of resources.

I will have another look at the settings. It's a weird issue that's for sure....

Just removed Nod32 and disabled Windows defender and it's still the same.

It's weird as you start typing in Chrome and it's ok at first then it lags like mad with the letters and inputs appearing about 2-3 seconds after pushing the keys. It does this for around 30 seconds and then it's ok. On battery it does not do it at all... ?

I think I have worked it out but no idea how to fix. It seems to be the latest Nvidia drivers causing the issue. If I uninstall the drivers and just use the Windows default ones it works fine. As soon as I install the Nvidia drivers it does the delay thing... ?
