Strange graphics card behaviour.

Can anyone explain the following?

My graphics card has seemingly lost about 500 marks off my 3dmark 11 score today for no reason whatsover. It's also being slightly slower in Uniengine as well. This all at the same clocks.

Check out the difference between these two score.

Note the graphics score especially.

Is there any explanation for this? The clocks werent throttling back or anything like that, Temperatures were about 75 degrees.

ive tried re-installing drivers but it didnt help.

It just seems to have lost a small chunk of its power for no reason

Ive solved this. It is actually to do with C states. If i enable c states and let it clock down to 1600mhz when idle, it doesnt come back to 4.6ghz until the cpu test/combined test which therefore chokes my poor GTX480.

The only problem is, is that i would quite like it to clock down when idle

Save the OC profiles in different bios profiles. Just before starting the pc, select which bios you want.
