Ok I've raised this with my works network supply people and smoothwall support. But thought id check with all you experts here too 
Ok my work is getting a strange delayed internet problem. Click a link, wait wait wait wait then boom loads. The link is not loaded. We have a 100/50mbit link that usually loaded around 30Mbits. New 100/100 on a 1gbit bearer going in this Friday. We run a smoothwall filter box which is showing very little load as well. Cpu usage low, memory usage about 30%. Plugging a vanilla machine directly into the router has no delay/lag, super fast browsing. So my thought is this must be something internal to the network.
We recently spotted our smoothwall ip is set as our default gateway. Wondering if this could be causing some issues. So planning to change that during next down time.
BUT any idea's where to start looking/testing? What could be causing such a delay. Anyone experienced such a problem before?
