Hey Guys come across this strange issue and i'm looking for anyone to throw an idea up - ive tried everything that i can think of! So any input is greatly appreciated.. no matter how simple!
New system - dual boot XP / Vista Everythings went on great.
As you do - run windows update on the XP.. most install ok however it wont install IE 7 or WMP 11...
On closer inspection it seems that even when i download the installer separately it tries to install it on a hard drive that doesnt contain my /WINDOWS/ directory!
Is there any way i can force it to show where to find my WINDOWS directory? Without it going off and trying to installing it on an empty hard drive.. which it does and then fails obviously!
HDD Setup as follows:
2 x 500gb, 1 split 250/250 with the OS's on, one 500gb for storage.
It tries to install it to the 500gb one.. which for arguement sake is mapped as E:/ and is empty.
Anyone?!
