On my HTPC this morning after boot up it said my password has expired (for some reason, the PW expires after 60 days), I entered the current password and then entered the same PW for the new PW and logged on correctly.
I then tried to connect to my shared drive on the HTPC with my main workstation (mapped drive), however it asked for the username and PW. I entered the username and PW I use to log to the HTPC but it rejected it.
I reset the HTPC and logged on correctly with the same credentials I used when trying to access the mapped drive.
Confused at this point so I tried to change (and later remove the pw) from the account for the HTPC machine but Vista says the PW entered is incorrect.
So how can I be logging on to the HTPC on boot up but the same PW is incorrect when trying to change the PW?
