We have a computer here, Setup and overclocked.
It's an 805D processor running on a Gigabyte 965P-S3 motherboard. The machine is also running 2gb of Geil DDR2 RAM.
Voltage going through my Processor is 1.375v, Voltage through my RAM is 1.8v (Both according to CPUZ)
Now everything is rock solid, Primed on both cores, For hours.
The machine plays Crysis, and Supreme Commander, With no issues.
Now, The problem starts when my External Maxtor hard drive is turned on at boot. It's a 1/4 chance that my computer fails to start if the drive is on, And this then resets my overclock, and i have to go in and re enter the settings.
If the hard drive isn't turned on, The problem goes away completely.
It's easy enough to keep the hard drive off on boot obviously. It's just a little bit annoying. Anyone any ideas why a USB hard drive would be causing my overclock to fail?
Oh, I should add, When my computer isnt Overclocked, the issue goes away then too.
