Hey guys

I have a 1 year old P150EM clevo and this morning I experienced something very unusual.

I tried to use it but the keyboard wouldn't work. I noticed that if I pressed a button it was acting as if it was permanently in short cut mode. e.g. Pressing F brought up the 'File' menu in a window as if I were pressing Alt + F.

The only solution to this was pressing right shift and then typing which now doesn't work either. I did the usual checks, Sticky Keys etc. I even formatted computer and that hasn't helped.

I finally tried plugging in a USB keyboard and it doesn't work either....literally nothing types, but the keyboards both appear to be working fine. power is going to them, the Caps Lock, Num, etc all work and Windows makes a ding sound when any key is pressed so it acknowledges its being pressed but it just doesn't do anything.

I'm completely stumped, never seen this issue before. Any ideas what it could be? Defective controller? It's particularly strange that a USB keyboard doesn't work either even though the USB ports have been tested and work fine with mouse/USB HD/USB Pen reader etc.

Just when it comes to typing anything, nothing works on either built in keyboard or USB keyboard.
