Strange Line

Hey

All of a sudden I noticed this like big long line, normally in same place shoot on screen and then off... its like all way down from top to bottom its not a massive line

i tried to get a pic but its too damn fast :/

my temps check out all right, any idea what it is?

OK I tried to remove the VGA lead from back and resit it, but I cant get one side to unscrew.. its like the rubber thing keeps turning but the metal isnt

what should i do?!
 
That looks like a screen fault sadly. You didn't say which screen it is but I'm guessing it doesn't have a DVI to try.

Dunno how to get the VGA lead out though. Sounds like the thread has gone that holds the nut in place that the VGA lead screws into, so they're both just rotating. 2 reasons to get it swapped then.
 
Thought it might be. I guess that's the problem with a single input and using it for PC and 360. The VGA socket takes a lot of wear if you're changing it fairly often. I believe you can get a KVM lead to get round that, which is basically a VGA splitter/switch lead.

If it's the VGA lead not the 360 lead that's currently stuck to it, you might be able to get it back in the box with it still attached. A big green line is definitely grounds for a replacement.

Okay My dad got the VGA lead out.

I tried it on his pc it still was there, so I tried 360's VGA lead on its own still there so it's the monitor itself :(

I'm gonna see if I can ring Belinea tomorrow, if not monday. Get its RMA'd.
