Strange memory error

Hi all,

Ive just built a new rig for a family member, spec is:

Xp home
Intel C2 E5400 (stock speed)
2x2 gb corsair value select RAM, ddr2 800
MSI p6ngm
Nvidia 8400gs
400w coolermaster PSU
Maxtor 320gb HDD
liteon DVD

Now the strange thing is, it runs fine so far (im on it now), like lightning actually!
But I get a BIOS error beep, 2 in fact...

At first I was getting: beep.beep.beep.

Which is apparently is: Base 64k RAM failure (mobo fault?)

Then after doing all the windows updates, that error stopped and im now always getting: beep..........beep.beep.

Which seems to be: Conventional/Extended memory failure, although the way the beeps are decribed on MSI's website, 1 long, 3 short - my beeps are all short, there is just a definate pause between the first and second beeps, so not 100% on that one.
It does (unhelpfully) also say on the website: Any other beep(s) RAM problem.

But the PC seems to run absolutley fine apart from this- not done any stress testing yet.

BIOS options I have left as standard apart from the fan speed controls as the defaults were set to a really low target temp, something like 30c and the minimum fan speed was something daft like 75% - resulting in more noise than is needed!
I think I cahanged min fan speed to the lowest 12.5% and the temp target to 40c or 50c I cant remember.

I have removed one of the RAM modules, with the same error, but I have yet to try with the other module.

Any Ideas?

Thanks :)

EDIT): ive just changed ram voltage to 1.8, which i belive its rated at, the default settting was 1.9 - back to the initial error: 3 short beeps Base 64k RAM failure

EDIT2): Ive now tried both RAM stick in thier own in slot 1, same error: 3 short beeps Base 64k RAM failure

EDIT3): Ive run 3Dmark06 and it madeit through with no crashes, albiet with an appaling score of less than 2000, lol, guess thats due to the video card.

Help!, it runs fine, so I dunno If I should be concerned?
