Hey everyone, I've been having a strange problem with my desktop for as long as I can remember now. Every 15 seconds or so, no matter if the computer is idling or playing an intensive game,I get a split second stutter (about 0.2 of a second). It looks and sounds like the computer is going to hang, similar to what you hear before a BSOD, but then it goes back to normal. I've managed to put up with it for about a year now but I need to find out what it is!
I pretty much know it is hardware causing the issue as I have been from XP to Windows 7 Beta, back to XP, and now firmly stuck with Win 7 and the problem has carried across with each OS.
Firstly I think it could be memory, as per my sig its quite overclocked, but I have tried with the timings set by spd, and the problem still occurs. Should I try running the memory at less that 1000MHz?
Or could it be my GPU? again I've tried it at stock and it still happens.
What should I try next?
