Strange monitor artefact

I went to play a game a noticed this in the left corner of the screen.
It also appears on the other input mode so it's definitely the screen and not Windows software.

I have never seen this type of artefact before.
Should I be saving for a new screen or can I fix this?

After some research, it appears to be called image retention from the taskbar search box.
The solution is not to have my monitor left on all-day and to have the taskbar auto-hide.

Now after a few days, the artefact faded a lot thank god
