Strange Monitor problem

Hi

For some reason when i now put the PC to sleep mode the PC shuts off fine as normal but my Monitor (DELL U2410) wont turn off automatically and i get a message saying DVI not sound?

I then have to manually turn off screen and then turn back on when i restart PC, i have never had to do this ever since ive had this screen and PC?

Im sure its something to do with my windows install but im not sure what?

Ive always used DVI to DVI leads over the years but i have ordered a mini usb to usb and a DVI to HDMI leads to see if the problem is solved.

Has anyone got any ideas what may be causing this?

When you get the "DVI not found" message, does the monitor not go into standby 30 seconds later?

Also curious at the DVI to USB - did you mean HDMI? Wouldn't have thought it would make a difference in any case.

(e) Wow, they do do USB to DVI converters - who'd a thunk it? Still doubt that's what you mean, though :)
