Im having an odd issue with my pc/switch. The switch is a Netgear 8port GS608 and my mobo is a foxconn h67m.
Recently i noticed poor read speeds from my unraid server to my pc (read speads dropped to below 3-4MB/s but write speeds still getting 45-50MB/s)
I thought id replace cables as first test, initially the pc a had cat 5 cable, so swapped out for cat5e and this is where it gets strange.
Cat5 cable pc identifies network as gigabit, green light on switch but read speeds of 3-4MB/s. Swap out to Cat5e pc only connects at 100Mbps, orange light on switch but read speeds are 10-11MB/s?
Anyone have any ideas? Going to dig out a spare pc with gigabit and see what happens with that.
