Anybody know if I should be worried about this, not sure how long its been doing it but I tried unplugging the 4 mechanical drives one by one and think it may be my recently purchased 10TB but I am not 100% sure I would have to redo the whole thing to be 100%.

The sound to listen for (There are 2 separate noises made by me touching the top of the case by mistake) at 5s intervals and will need to be loud to hear them.

3s, 8s, 13s, 18s, 23s, 28s

Edit
Whoops, think this may be in wrong area, my bad.

Edit 2
Just checked details on the 10tb smart info and its gone from 0 spin up time which it has always been at since I installed it to nearly 30 million.

I really don't understand this smart info stuff myself but Load/Unload Cycle Count and Power Off Retract Cycle Count are always the same.

I have narrowed it down, upon starting up with only the 10TB drive connected (besides my SSD OS Drive) it is quite noisy spinning up compared to the other 3 drives in the machine and upon loading to windows I am greeted with the split second noise that occurs every 5 seconds.

Should I be overly worried about this as it had been fine since I installed it on the 27th of September and my machine had been lovely and quiet but this noise I can hear all the time every 5 seconds and its driving me mad.

It was purchased from OCUK.

Edit
Just plugged the backup 10TB and its doing the same, will investigate further.

The WD Diagnostic tool doesn't wipe data Im 90 % certain , it will tell you if it is making any data changes.

The click noise sounds like a head reset, where the head return to idle position, the bigger the drive the more heads, so im guessing more noise.?

If you have two drives making identical noise I would run a WD Diag and if it comes back clean , just not worry about it :)
