Getting a very strange problem with my O2 BB whereby it will drop its connection to the net so that I am unable to view any webpages etc until I reboot the box. However I have noticed it hasn't dropped its connection completely as if I have things queued downloading, they are still happily downloading at full speed.

Is this a problem with O2's DNS server? Or something that I can resolve locally, as its a royal pita to keep rebooting the box to get back on to websites etc.

Im getting the same thing. Have a 2nd line call with O2 at the moment, they have asked us to do speedtest daily for a week, but DUH, not exactly possible with the damn line down.

Same problem here too, connection doesn't drop just can't access any pages of upto a minute then they load. Downloads that are on going still continue though.

Could be DNS but there is no way of changing it on the router, but if it was shouldn't pages that you have already visited be ok?

I get this both at my place and my parents both using O2 LLU setups. With o2 phone contracts the cost is so cheap i've never complained about it but if there's a fix it would be good to know.

BE here, same network/company as O2? Same problem here, going on for days. Ebay, Youtube, even google searches not loading up. Downloads are fine its just general web browsing.
Tried Open DNS but it was adsactly the same so swiched back to BE's DNS servers.

i've noticed my router has lost it's connection a few times over the last few weeks but it's never actually affected my usage. it's only when i've logged into it that i can see it's reset itself.

Just wanted to update this, don't want to jinx it or anything but mine has been ok for the last day or so perhaps they have sorted it out.

Has it been ok for everyone else?

My o2 connection is suffering with this too, has been for over a week. Is fine during the day then in the evening will just stop loading pages. Router doesn't lose connection I just can't access anything for about 60 secs.

I have had this on and off for months lost connections. O2 of little help TBH. I then bought a new router and stopped using the O2 one and so far all is fine.
