Strange Oblivion Problem

My character wont stop running backwards and to the right! it never used to happen and appears to do it on all my save games. Strange thing is that it will do it even when i unplug the keyboard.

I'm having a nightmare googling for it due to the huge amount of pages giving tips on "running backwards" as a tactic.

Anyone had this happen to them?!

I get this on some games when I open the in-game xfire menu.. do you have xfire?

No, on a side note I lose control of wow sometimes too, character keeps running forward and i cant stop him, not sure if they are related though. CS source and other games i play are no problem.

Do you have any other controllers plugged in?
My joystick kept affecting GTA:San Andreas

and you dont have a joypad/joystick connected?
Do you have the ps2 adapter for the keyboard? If you do give it a try with that.

Problem solved. I had a playstation/usb adaptor plugged in and despite it not having any joypads connected, still gave me issue.

I had the self same problem a couple of weeks ago. Went throught the whole process of uninstalling & re-installing Oblivion & my mods before I twigged that it was my joypad converter.
