Strange onboard sound issue :(

Using a P5K on-board sound and with any sort of playback, sound/video/games - the sound will randomly spaz out, it sounds as if the speed has been slowed down and CPU use flies up to 50%~ I've tried using the newest Realtek drivers and the ones from the CD, still the same problem exists :confused:

Anyone have any idea what's going on?

You got any other sound devices installed that could be conflicting? If you do perhaps try to disable them.

What operating system are you on?

XP Pro, SP2. Also, I had no issue at all like this on Vista. I'm tempted to just reinstall Vista because of this!
