strange one, but could it be my laptop or monitor or the app itself?

Purchased an LG 34WR50QK a couple days ago and using LG Switch(seems better than fancyzones) its been great for all that im using it for that doesnt involve gaming, but for Prime Video which is what im mainly watching on it, the quality is very pixelated, yet its fine on my tv or games console.

Anyways after a day of researching i have noticed if i set the hdmi port to 1.4 instead of 2.0 on the monitor then the quality improved which i find odd.

Laptop is Acer Aspire 15 with Ryzen 7 8840HS, 780M graphics. The cable is what came with the monitor. i do use an angled hdmi adapter which is rated to support upto 4k, but even without, 1.4 works best. The quality doesnt change no matter what screen size i choose for the split.

The laptop is meant to support hdmi 2.1 and the monitor obviously supports 2.0. I dont have an hdmi - displayport adapter to try that.

Things are more watchable now, but hdmi 2.0 is meant to be better.
